FAQ

Quick answers to the questions people ask most about PicoBerry.

How much can I do for free?

The Free plan lets you try the Image, 3D, Remesh, Texture, and Animation tools. You can use the models without a crown — Nano Banana, PB Image, and GPT Image 2 for images; Tripo P1, Tripo 3.0, Hunyuan 3.1, and Hunyuan 3.1 Lite for 3D; PB Remesh for remeshing; Tripo Texture and PB Palette for texturing; and Tripo Ani for animation. On the Free plan you can keep up to 20 3D models, monthly 3D downloads and collections (1) are limited, and 3D results are saved as CC BY 4.0 (public). UV Unwrap, 3D model uploads, the Private license, and the API are available on paid plans. See Credits & Plans.

A model has a crown (👑) on it.

That model or feature is available on paid plans. Selecting it on the Free plan brings up a plan notice.

What happened to PB Slim, Slim 2, Standard, and Ultra?

These models run on Tripo's engines, and in October 2026 they started showing under Tripo's own model names. Only the names changed — the engines, credit prices, and the models you've already made stay the same.

Previous nameName now
PB SlimTripo P1
PB Slim 2Tripo P2
PB StandardTripo 3.1
PB UltraTripo 3.1 Ultra

From August 13 to 27, 2026, the name PB Slim 2 briefly referred to Meshy T2 — models made with it in that window show as Meshy T2.

Tripo P1 is fast, lightweight, and available on Free, and Tripo P2 makes clean low-poly models with quad topology. Tripo 3.1 is balanced, standard quality, and Tripo 3.1 Ultra — Tripo's Ultra mode — adds extra geometric detail on top of 3.1 for high-detail work. The full list, including other engines such as Meshy and Hunyuan, is in Text to 3D.

Can I generate with several models at once and compare?

Yes. Turn on Compare multiple models in the 3D model picker to generate 2–4 models from the same prompt or image at once, compare them side by side, and continue with the one you like. Compare generation is 5% off, and because it runs the models at the same time, use it on a paid plan. See Compare Generation.

What is multi-view (4-View)?

A set of images showing one subject from four directions — front, back, left, and right. The 4-View chip in the Image tool makes all four at once, and feeding them into the Multi-view input of Image to 3D reconstructs a more accurate shape. Multi-view needs all four (front, left, back, and right) and works only with the 3D models that support it.

Can I upload my own 3D models?

Yes, on paid plans. Use the Upload button next to the 3D library's search field to add GLB, FBX, OBJ, STL, or ZIP files (up to 100 MB each), then use them as sources for Remesh, UV, Texture, and Animation. Uploading costs no credits, and uploaded models are always private. See Tour the Workspace.

Can I use what I generate in a commercial game?

Yes, on every plan — the difference is the license. Free-plan results are public under CC BY 4.0, so they can be used commercially as long as you credit the creator and indicate changes. Paid subscribers hold a commercial license to everything they generate; assets are private by default and need no attribution. See the Terms of Use for details.

My work is showing up in Explore. Can I hide it?

Yes. 3D models made under CC BY 4.0 (public) can be featured in Explore. Switch the Explore row in the asset info panel to Hidden to take a model out of the gallery — this works on every plan. On a paid plan you can also change its license to Private.

Which file formats can I export?

3D models export as GLB · FBX · OBJ · STL, or Textures only. GLB and FBX carry textures and animation; FBX, OBJ, and Textures only arrive as a ZIP. You can also pick a smaller texture resolution when downloading. Images download as PNG. See Export & Unity.

How do I bring models into Unity?

Install the free Unity plugin UModeler X and the Unity Bridge drops a model into your open scene in one click. To move files yourself, download an FBX (Target engine: Unity) and drag it into your Unity project. You can also send models straight to Blender, Unreal, and Godot with the bridges.

Can I re-lay a model's UVs?

Yes. The UV tool in the left tool bar (paid plans) re-lays UVs into clean, editable islands and re-bakes the existing textures onto the new layout. See UV Unwrap.

Why did my generation fail?

Failures happen now and then — a model provider is busy, or the input is hard to interpret. Failed jobs are automatically refunded, so your credits stay intact, and the reason is shown on the card or in the asset info panel. Try again, and if it keeps failing, simplify the prompt or clean up the input image.

My Image to 3D result looks messy.

Often the background or several objects got baked into the mesh. Use an image with one subject on a plain background — remove the background first if needed — and generate again. A different engine may also suit it better, so try comparing a few with Compare Generation.

How long does generation take?

Images take anywhere from a few seconds to about two minutes, depending on the model. 3D models and animation take a few minutes depending on the engine and options, and the 3D Generate button shows an estimate. Your results wait in the library even if you leave the page.

Do credits expire?

Credits come in types, and some have a validity period. Monthly credits refresh each billing cycle and don't roll over, bonus and promotional credits may carry an expiry date, and purchased credit packs never expire. Check upcoming expirations on your dashboard's Credit tab. See Credits & Plans.

Can I use PicoBerry with my team?

Yes. A MAX subscription can be shared with up to three teammates (four people including the owner), so the whole team shares the same credits and assets under one subscription. See MAX Team Sharing.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. You can make images and 3D in your phone's browser, and long-press a thumbnail to remesh, UV unwrap, texture, or animate. Downloading 3D models, sending to engines and DCCs, uploading 3D files, and the texture viewer are desktop-only, though. See Tour the Workspace.

Can I use it through an API or an AI assistant?

Yes. Accounts with a payment history can call generation from code with the PicoBerry API, or use PicoBerry inside AI assistants like Claude and Cursor through MCP.
