New models & engines

• Nano Banana 2.1 is available — Google's newest image model. Text inside images comes out crisp, and characters keep their look across edits. Find it at the top of the Balanced group in the image model menu; each image is 60 credits. Available on paid plans.
• Smart UV adds Tripo and Meshy — When you unwrap UVs, you can now pick the Tripo or Meshy engine alongside the existing ones.
• 3D models now go by their engine names — PB Slim is now Tripo P1, PB Slim 2 is Tripo P2, PB Ultra is Tripo 3.1 Ultra, and PB Standard is Tripo 3.1. Same models, same credits.

Workspace

• Animation starts with the rig — Rig once, and every motion you pick after that lands as a clip inside the rigged card instead of a new card. Motions already applied to the model are marked, and Tripo motion previews now come straight from the Tripo studio.
• Take your mobile creations with you — The mobile menu now has Download (GLB) and Email me a link. Open the emailed link on your computer to pick up right where that model left off.

Textures

• 8K textures are here — When you generate a 3D model or re-texture one, set the texture resolution to Standard, 4K, or 8K. Every 3D model except Hunyuan supports it. 8K (8192px) is the sharpest option, with much larger files and a higher credit cost. On Meshy models, 8K applies to the color map; PBR maps stay at 4K.

PicoBerry API

• Heavy usage won't cost you your key — A key that uses more than 20,000 credits in a day is paused, and we email you. Click Resume under API Keys to keep going with the same key.

Downloads & animation

• Downloaded models face forward — Some models faced front in the viewer but came out turned 90° in the downloaded file. That's fixed for models built on another asset (remesh, texture) and for PB Slim 2.
• No more giant sphere when you open a Meshy animation in Blender — Importing the GLB into Blender used to drop a huge bone sphere over the character. Rigs now export with clean units, and animations you made earlier are fixed the next time you download them.
• Remeshed models walk straight — A Hunyuan model remeshed with Tripo used to walk sideways once animated. It now walks the way it faces.

Everyday use

• Your language stays put — Returning visits and new tabs could briefly flip back to your previous language. The first screen now loads in the language you saved.
• 3D starter examples are back — If you'd only made images so far, the 3D workspace hid its starter examples. They now show whenever you have no 3D models yet, and an empty asset panel tells you where to begin.
• Faster first load — The first page now ships less than half the code it used to, and fonts load only the characters a page needs.

New guides

• Concept art to 3D — How to take art you already have, or a clear picture in your head, into a 3D model.
• Make it on your phone, open it in Unity — Generate in your phone's browser, then open the model straight in a Unity scene.
• Same-input engine benchmark — The which AI 3D model for game assets guide now includes a benchmark: six engines, the same three images, three runs each — with face counts, generation times, credits, and the original GLBs.

New image models

• GPT Image 2.5 — Flare & Sunburst — Two new OpenAI models join the image generator. Flare is the new default: higher quality than GPT Image 2 and about twice as fast (50 credits). Sunburst is a premium model built for precise edits and polished results (70 credits).

Free for a limited time

• GPT Image 2.5 on every plan through September 19 — Flare and Sunburst are unlocked on the free plan too. No subscription and no card needed: generate with the credits that land every month. On September 20 both return to paid plans.

New model

• Meshy 7 — image to 3D, sharper with Ultra Mode — Meshy 7 joins the model picker. Turn one image into a 3D model, and flip on Ultra Mode for higher-fidelity geometry.

Workspace

• Aim the rig yourself — When you upload your own model to rig, PicoBerry auto-detects which way it faces. If it locks on sideways or backwards, you can now turn it — Auto, 90°, 180°, or 270° — to set it straight.
• Choose your export texture size — The export popover now shows the model's native texture size and lets you download a lighter resolution. Handy for trimming file size for a game engine.

Scene view

• Cleaner display — Fixed see-through faces on some PB Slim 2 quad models, and a ground shadow that could cover the model when viewed from below.

New page

• Use-cases hub — A new Use cases hub in the Resources menu gathers examples by purpose in one place.

New

• Explore — browse what the community made, then keep building on it — Explore is now open to everyone. Look through other people's 3D models in the Featured and Latest tabs, and remix any of them straight into your own workspace. Each card shows which model generated it, and you can drop an image on the first screen to start a generation right there. The name shown on your work is yours to set in your profile.
• PB Slim 2 — choose your topology — PB Slim 2 joins the model list. Pick quad or triangle topology; generate with quad and you get an FBX that keeps its quads, plus a quad overlay you can switch on in the scene view. UV unwrap preserves the quads too.
• One-click send to Unity — Unity joins Blender, Unreal and Godot. One button drops the model into your editor, and the connection comes back on its own after you restart it.

Workspace

• 40 examples waiting on your first visit — the Image-to-3D examples grew to 8 sets of 40. Use Next set to cycle through different styles and use cases.
• Reuse prompt remembers your topology — reusing a prompt from a quad model no longer resets topology to the default.

New docs

• Community Policy — the ground rules for work published to Explore now live on the Community Policy page.

Changed

• PB Slim 2 is now Meshy T2 — this model runs on the Meshy engine, but the old name read like the next version of PB Slim, which it never was. It is a different engine with its own polygon range and pricing. The name now says which engine you are getting. Nothing else changed — same behaviour, same price, same output; only the label in the model picker and asset list.

New docs

• A texture workflow guide and a Unity 2D rendering article — the new texture workflow page walks through re-texturing and restyling a 3D model you already made. On the blog, Rendering 3D as 2D in Unity covers how to put a 3D mesh through 2D lighting and sorting instead of redrawing sprites for every angle, following the Unity 6.3 URP docs.

New

• Make several models at once and compare them — Generate up to four 3D models from a single prompt and line them up side by side in the scene view. Pick the one you like and carry straight on to remesh, texture, or rigging. Compare generation comes with a 5% discount.
• PB Slim 2, now from text too — PB Slim 2 used to be image-to-3D only; you can now generate with it straight from a text prompt.

Improvements

• Cleaner downloads and remesh output — Fixed the front-facing orientation on models downloaded from Tripo, and cleared up the dark patches that could show on dark materials after a remesh.
• Your language setting sticks — Fixed an issue where switching languages could quietly revert to the previous one.

New

• Nano Banana images, free every month — On any paid plan you now get a separate monthly allowance of Nano Banana image credits — up to 300 images on Starter, 1,000 on Pro, and 3,000 on Max. It's an open event running through December 2026, and your remaining allowance shows up in the workspace and on the pricing page.

Workspace

• Drop an image on the scene to make it 3D — Drag an image anywhere onto the scene view, or paste it (⌘V / Ctrl+V), and image-to-3D starts right away. The 3D generation panel now opens in image-to-3D mode by default, too.
• Better lighting in the 3D viewer — The scene view now uses a presentation-grade default lighting setup, so the same model reads sharper and more three-dimensional.
• A more compact scene-view bar — The full-width status bar across the top is now slimmed down, giving the scene view more room.

New

• UV Unwrap, now in the workspace — Unwrap the UVs of any 3D asset without leaving PicoBerry. Launch it from the asset menu and pick an engine: PB Unwrap, our own fast in-house engine, or HY3 Unwrap, a precision engine that shines on organic shapes. It re-bakes the texture onto the new, editable UV layout. Until now you had to export to FBX/GLB and reopen in Blender just to fix a UV.
• PB Slim 2 — a new low-poly AI model — Turn a single image into a low-poly mesh in about 15 seconds. Its smart topology keeps the polygon budget lean, tuned for real-time game engines. Pick PB Slim 2 in the model picker.

Workspace

• A clearer model picker — The picker now shows which engine powers each model, and you can set a target polygon count on every model.
• Open an asset straight from UModeler X — Click an asset in UModeler X and the workspace opens with it already selected.

New languages

• PicoBerry now speaks Japanese (日本語) and Simplified Chinese (简体中文) — the workspace, landing, pricing, and guides are all translated. We match your browser language automatically, and you can switch any time from the language picker at the bottom.

Workspace

• See the UV layout in the texture viewer — Turn on Show UV and the UV wireframe draws over whatever texture you're looking at. The UV tab at the end of the channel strip shows the UVs alone on a flat background, with adjustable line color, weight, and opacity. Checking where the islands landed or where the seams run used to mean exporting an FBX/GLB and reopening it in Blender. Models with no textures yet now open straight into this tab, replacing the old No textures available dead end.
• Fixed texture generation failing on long prompts — Meshy accepts up to 800 characters, but the prompt box allowed 1,500, so anything in between failed outright. It now stops at 800, and trims to match when you switch to Meshy from another engine or let the magic menu expand your prompt.

Site

• A rebuilt landing page — The hero is now a turntable video of real generated results, and the model comparison, field examples, and interop flow are laid out to scan in one pass.
• Five new use-case pages — Blender · Text to 3D · Image to 3D · Parts breakdown · Remesh workflow. Find them under Resources in the top menu.

Workspace

• Swap the source model right from the card — Click the source model card in the remesh, texture, or animation tool and a picker opens. Scroll your whole library under My 3D models, or drill into folders under Collections. Previously you had to select the model in the left asset panel first — and on mobile the tool sheet covered that panel, leaving no way to change the source at all.
• A shorter animation panel — The five lines of guidance at the top collapse into one, with the full text tucked behind an ⓘ. The motion preset grid is now visible without scrolling.

Blog

• The blog is live — First up: An AI 3D Model Isn't a Game Asset Until the Unity Scene Says So — a checklist for what to look at first once a generated model lands in your Unity scene. Find it under Resources in the top menu.

API & MCP

• Multi-view image to 3D, now in the API — Send 2–4 images of one object (front / left / back / right) and get a more faithful 3D model. Available over both the REST API and the MCP server.

Workspace

• Skeleton overlay toggle — Show or hide the bone skeleton on rigged models, from the viewer bar — or scene settings on mobile.
• Custom bone and joint colors — Pick your own colors for the skeleton's bones and joints, handy when the defaults blend into your model.
• Switch a generation's license any time — Flip a finished generation between CC BY 4.0 (public) and All Rights Reserved (private) right from the asset info panel.

Animation

• Cleaner timeline for rig-only models — Models that are rigged but have no motion no longer show a jumpy timeline; the scrubber now appears only when there is an actual animation to play.

Gallery

• 3D viewer in the landing gallery — Click any thumbnail in the picoberry.ai gallery to spin the model in a 3D popup, wireframe toggle included.

MCP server

• MCP server is live — Use PicoBerry right inside Claude, Cursor, OpenAI Codex, and any other MCP-capable AI assistant. Ask for "a low-poly treasure chest, exported as a Unity FBX" and the assistant chains generation, remesh, texture, and rigging for you — handing back import-ready GLB, FBX, or OBJ. Nothing to install: add one line to your assistant's config (npx -y @picoberry/mcp-server).
• Setup guide — The MCP page in the manual has the one-minute setup; the developer docs at api.picoberry.ai/docs/mcp cover every tool. It uses the same API key from your paid plan.

PicoBerry API

• REST API now public — Call PicoBerry's 3D and image generation straight from code. Automate text-to-3D, image-to-3D, and text-to-image — plus remesh, texture, and rigging — over a clean REST API. On any paid plan (Starter, Pro, Max), mint an API key in your account settings and start in minutes.
• Developer docs + quickstart — api.picoberry.ai/docs walks you from authentication to your first generation, with a step-by-step quickstart and a full reference. Every example is copy-paste ready in curl, Python, and JavaScript.

Workspace

• First-generation onboarding — Right after sign-up, tap an example card to kick off your first generation immediately.

Animation

• Riggability pre-check — Models that can't be auto-rigged are caught for free before any credits are spent, so you only pay for models that will actually rig.

Remesh

• PB Remesh now supports Quad topology — pick Quad topology in PB Remesh for clean quad meshes with edge flow that follows the surface, now powered by the Auto Remesher library — ideal for editing, subdivision, and animation.

Animation

• Scrub through your animation — drag the new timeline bar under the viewer to pause on any frame and study the pose, so you can decide whether an animation is the right one before you keep it.
• More accurate walk-cycle direction — walk animations for your uploaded characters now stride forward, facing front.

3D generation

• Tencent Hunyuan 3D 3.1 & 3.1 Lite are here — two new engines in the 3D model generator. 3.1 delivers the highest detail with PBR textures, while 3.1 Lite focuses on color texture for a faster turnaround.

Workspace

• Asset lineage breadcrumb — see the full generation path (source → remesh → texture → animation) at a glance and jump straight to any step.

Batch 3D generation

• Several images to 3D at once — image-to-3D now has a Batch mode. Drop in multiple images and each one becomes its own 3D model — no more repeating one at a time.
• A whole parts breakdown to 3D — after you Break into parts, hit Generate all as 3D and the entire exploded sheet drops straight into batch generation, up to your plan's concurrent generation limit.

Tutorials

• Rigging & animation videos — added rigging and animation guide videos to the tutorials page.

New

• Parts Breakdown — the new Break into parts action on any image card lays a character or mechanical design out as an exploded parts sheet. Feed that sheet straight into image-to-3D.
• PB Palette — a new texture engine that quantizes a 3D asset's texture down to a limited color palette. Pick the asset's own colors, a palette you build, or one extracted from an image. You can also pull a palette out on its own from the image feed with Extract palette and reuse it.
• Unreal & Godot bridges — the Unreal bridge is now official (out of beta), and a new Godot bridge joins it. Send a 3D asset you made on the web straight into Blender, Unreal, or Godot with one click.

3D viewer

• Sharper, smoother viewer — added anti-aliasing, raised still-frame quality on mobile, improved camera rotate/pan responsiveness, and removed the flicker on asset transitions.
• Crisper thumbnails — a contact shadow and studio backdrop make asset thumbnails render noticeably cleaner.

Workspace

• Multi-view image-to-3D stability — fixed an intermittent failure when sending 4-angle images to 3D via Reuse Prompt.

Image generation — Grok joins the lineup

• 3 new xAI Grok models — Grok, Grok Quality, and Grok Pro are now available on paid plans. Pick by mode: quick text-to-image at the entry tier, multi-image editing at the top.
• PB Image — free tier — A lightweight 15-credit option for fast image generation, available on the free plan. Great for short prompts and quick iterations.

MAX Team Sharing (launch)

• One payment, up to 4 people — A MAX subscriber can invite up to 3 others by email to share the same benefits. The price is the same $96/month as a single MAX seat.
• Shared credit pool — 100,000 credits are granted per team each month and consumed by any member. Per-member usage breaks down on the team dashboard.
• Personal / Team workspace toggle — Use the workspace switcher in the top bar to flip between Personal and Team. Assets and collections live in separate spaces; anything in the team space is visible and downloadable by every member.
• Pool usage alerts — When the pool hits 80% or runs dry, every member gets an inbox notification, and the owner sees a top-up prompt.
• Invitees get full MAX — Invited members also enjoy MAX queue limits and every premium model in their own work.

Workspace polish

• Move assets between workspaces — From the asset menu, move items Personal → Team or Team → Personal. Bulk-move multiple assets in one shot is also supported.
• In-flight assets are protected — Assets currently being generated, remeshed, textured, or animated cannot be moved or deleted, and a clear notice shows who is doing what.
• Creator name in image library — Images in the team workspace now show the creator's name (by Alice, etc.) so it is clear at a glance who made what.

UI / UX

• Sidebar credit breakdown — Team members now see team-pooled credit with a personal credit secondary breakdown side by side in the sidebar.
• Payment notification recovery — Recovered a path where some subscription renewal notifications were silently missed.

Animation

• Meshy Ani — new engine — Auto-rig your character and apply one of 678 pre-built motions. Selectable alongside the existing Tripo Ani; with the larger motion library, Meshy Ani is the new default.

Multi-view (4-view)

• Meshy 6 input supported — 4-view input now works with the standard Meshy 6 model in addition to Tripo. Push mesh quality higher with four consistent angles.
• Per-angle empty-slot guides — The four empty upload slots in multi-view now show illustrated guides (Front · Right · Back · Left).

Image actions

• L/R flip button — Every image slot now has a Mirror horizontally action. Click triggers a top progress banner and swaps in the new image once it finishes decoding.

Downloads

• Rigging / Animation badges — GLB and FBX download cards now show Rigging / Animation badges where applicable.
• Rigging rolled into Animation — No separate Rigging entry — the rigged file is bundled with the Animation download.
• FBX .zip extension preserved — FBX bundles now retain the .zip extension so your OS recognizes them as archives directly.

New pages

• Tutorials page — Reachable from the Resources menu in the header. One place for the new-user Quickstart, video workflow guides (Text → Image · Image → 3D · Remesh · AI Texturing), and selected community content.

Image generation

• 4-View multi-view generation — Generate front · right · back · left in a single click from text or an image. When 4-View is on, the aspect ratio locks to 1:1 and the side views cascade off the front as a reference, so the character stays consistent across angles.
• 4-View auto-enables 3D — Turning on 4-View automatically enables 3D conversion downstream. Four consistent views materially improve 3D model quality.
• Aspect ratio selector in iterate (Edit) popover — When regenerating, you can now keep or change the aspect ratio.
• Send generated image to Text-to-Image reference — A new action on the image kebab menu sends the image directly into the reference slot of the Text-to-Image prompt. URLs that aren't yet registered as files are registered automatically.

Asset name stability

• Names don't flip mid-generation anymore. The server now produces the AI name synchronously inside the Generate request, so the thumbnail carries the final title from the very first paint and never changes during generation. Previously a short placeholder would flip to an AI name 1-2 seconds later.

Remesh · 3D download

• Remesh blocked on rigged sources — Rigged meshes break their skin weights when remeshed, so we now block the action and show a clear "Rigged assets can't be remeshed" notice.
• Four FBX export fixes — Resolves four Unity-import traps in a single pass:
  • Armature world rotation baked into rest pose — Y-up axis conversions that used to live on the object's rotation are now baked into the rest pose so the imported skeleton stands upright.
  • ORM textures (Occlusion · Roughness · Metallic) now embed correctly — A Separate Color node that the FBX exporter couldn't follow caused textures to drop; the graph is rewired before export.
  • Stray icosphere stripped — Non-rigged meshes that occasionally landed in Tripo retarget output are removed before FBX export.
  • NLA-strip animations preserved — Animations stored on NLA tracks (not the active action) used to vanish in the FBX round-trip; they are now exported correctly.

Workspace / UX

• 3D viewer keeps the camera angle when you switch to Meshy texture / PB Remesh variants.
• Collections add dropdown no longer auto-opens the pricing dialog when you hit the limit.

Animation · Texture

• Animate input source accuracy — When you rig a derived asset (RE_MESH or TEXTURE), the rig now targets the actual input mesh rather than the ancestor. Previously, PB Ultra → remesh → rig would rig the pre-remesh original mesh instead of the remeshed one.

3D viewer

• Wireframe color + thickness pickers now wire into animated-mesh wireframes (not just static ones).
• PBR maps preserved across channel switches. Toggling between Solid / PBR / Albedo no longer drops the loaded PBR maps; we snapshot the GLTF material so the channel switch is a view change, not a reload.
• Instant Solid / PBR / Albedo toggles after the first render. PBR channel extracts are now cached, so subsequent toggles use the cached output instead of re-extracting.
• Cached built materials per mode/channel. Materials are now memoized by mode and channel, eliminating the flicker that appeared during repeated toggles.

Generation transparency

• Detailed failure reasons are now shown inline when a generation fails — what went wrong, in plain language. Previously the UI showed a generic "Failed" state.
• Toast on failure from every source — list polling, store transitions, and the retry overlay all post a toast when a job fails, so you never miss a failure regardless of how you discovered it.
• Failure toast stays visible longer — easier to read on a busy screen.
• Polling keeps running through PROCESSING. Polling now only stops on a terminal state (success or failure), fixing a case where a long-running job appeared stuck.

Models & pricing

• Credits chip next to the crown on paid models when viewed by free users — the cost is visible up front, not buried in a dialog.

Announcement banner

• Top announcement banner for the GPT Image 2 launch, sitting above the header.
• Banner stays visible behind anchored popovers but hides cleanly when a Radix dialog opens, and doesn't drift with trackpad overscroll.

3D pipeline

• FBX animation tracks are now baked into FBX exports — previously animation clips could disappear when exporting to FBX for Unity.

Headlines

• OpenAI GPT Image 2 is live — the latest image model sits at the top of the picker. A top banner announces the launch.
• OpenAI image lineup expands to three: gpt-image-2 (headline), gpt-image-1.5 (130cr), gpt-image-1-mini (20cr — the cheapest OpenAI option).

Image generation

• 3D-ready toggle in the prompt area — when on, generates a front-facing white-background result optimized for 3D conversion.
• Prompt length cap raised.
• Aspect ratios unified to 3:2 / 2:3 (photo standard). Only ratios supported by the selected model are shown.
• Model switching now resets the aspect ratio safely in both directions.
• 3D / T-pose / Magic chip tooltips in the prompt have unified anchors and positions.

3D · animation · texture

• 3D model picker description rewritten and now renders up to two lines.
• Capability badges added to the download dropdown (PBR, quads, etc.).
• Tripo texturing's multi-view 4-slot positions are now preserved correctly.
• Animation preset cleanup — 8 verified Tripo presets exposed, unsupported presets hidden from the grid.

Billing · workspace

• When a usage cap is hit, a friendly informational dialog opens first instead of the pricing dialog (four entry points, plan-aware messaging).
• Max → Starter direct downgrade available.
• Plan cards show whole-dollar prices; the monthly-max tooltip reflects real model availability.
• Stronger mobile long-press menu affordances.

Other

• Announcement banner system at the top — auto-hides whenever a modal is open.

Bug fixes

• Fixed Meshy assets rendering on their side because the viewer's -90° Y rotation was missing.
• Animation assets now load the bone model (model.glb) directly in the viewer.
• Fixed prompt chip tooltips being hidden behind the Magic popover.
• Fixed the beta-bonus ribbon text being clipped on narrow screens.
• Fixed model switching only resetting the aspect ratio in one direction.

Plans

• Monthly-max tooltip on each plan now reflects the actual model availability — what you can run, not a generic number.
• Format-capability badges in the download dropdown make it obvious which formats a given asset supports.
• Mobile long-press affordances — clearer visual cues that long-press opens the asset context menu.

Meshy

• Tripo texture model now always re-imports the source GLB before texturing — fixes a class of texture mismatches.
• Thumbnail camera offset corrected for Meshy outputs (90° azimuth offset to match Tripo framing).

Reliability

• Slack failure notifications. Every generation failure now posts to internal monitoring channels so the team sees it before users have to report. No user action required — just faster fixes when something does go wrong.
• Tripo failure category persistence — when Tripo rejects a job, the reason is now stored on the task and retained across retries.

Animation mode (new)

• Animation mode launched — auto-rig and motion retarget for your generated 3D models.
• New Animation form in the workspace: preset picker, skeleton visualizer, play / pause controls.
• Backend pipeline built on Tripo's retarget chain + worker-3d dispatch.
• Auto-corrects orientation and framing of the rigged/retargeted output, with a ground disc for context.

Pricing

• Max plan introduced. A higher-tier monthly plan for heavier workflows. See the pricing page.
• +10% beta bonus now includes Max. All paid tiers — Starter, Pro, Max — receive the beta bonus credits.
• 4K texture toggle defaults to OFF so a stray click doesn't burn extra credits.
• All expiring wallets visible on the Credits page. Each upcoming expiry is listed individually instead of being summed into one number.
• Direct downgrade from Max → Starter (previously you had to step through Pro).

PB Remesh (new)

• PB Remesh engine — a Blender Decimate Collapse pipeline running on our own infrastructure.
• Engine selector in the Remesh panel: PB Remesh / Tripo / Meshy.
• Provider-aware polygon cap — PB Remesh allows up to 80% of the source face count, no fixed 100K ceiling.
• Quad topology toggle for Tripo and PB Remesh outputs (tri remains the default). Meshy quad ingest is also supported.
• Quad wireframe overlay in the 3D viewer, generated from the FBX sidecar.

Workspace

• Engine badges during generation, in the asset list, and on info panels — Tripo Standard, Meshy 6, Trellis 2, etc.
• Re-mesh and Texture info panels expanded with source-asset context and generation metadata.
• Elapsed time + estimated range replaces the fake percentage progress bar during generation.
• Vignette during loading for remesh and texture jobs — clearer state during the brief processing window.

Downloads

• OBJ format re-enabled (downloads as a .zip bundle including textures).
• STL format added for geometry-only single-file workflows.

Billing

• Downloadable invoices. Every order has a printable invoice page, and Billing History now has an action column to download invoices directly.

Workspace

• FBX download is live. GLB stays the default, but FBX is now available from the download dropdown for Unity / Unreal / DCC import.
• Wireframe overlay. 3D viewer now renders a barycentric wireframe overlay with color and thickness controls. Useful for sanity-checking topology before download.
